Extracting Confluence data from SQL server directly

Jason Yeung

Hi,

I used to have an on prem Confluence server, but the machine has crashed. I was only able to recover the SQL server database. I couldn't recover the Confluence program.

I want to export the data from SQL server with SQL queries and store them in CSV files (the export file type could change). I was wondering whether there are sample SQL queries around (or documentation on Confluence's data structure) that could assist me in obtaining the information I need?

Sincerely,

Jason

That would be, frankly, a nightmare to work with.  It's going to take you a LOT of work to extract the data, convert to CSV, then import it, and you've going to loose a lot of the data.

If the database was not damaged, then your best option is to simply build a new Confluence server, point it at the database and kick off a re-index.
