Get directory of the logged in user in confluence macro

Hi,

 

I'm working on a confluence macro where I need to validate the directory of the logged in user (who is using the macro). I scraped google and the atlassian community hoping to find a solution but haven't got one yet. The posts are are old and dates back to 2 years.

Hoping to find an answer. Can someone please suggest a way (without accessing the database) by which we can get the directory info of the logged in user.?
