Getting error while creating a new session using the Jira REST API

For which rest api endpoint are you getting this error ?

The end point is: http://localhost:8080/rest/auth/1/session

For confluence I couldn't find such end point, can you share the document where you found it ? For Jira, that endpoint is available.

Also as per the screenshots you posted in other response, in postman tool you need to pass the username/password in Authorization section.

It is probably the code not sending the right thing, rather than the credentials.

I'm afraid we can't help you without seeing the code that is failing.

Well,  I was doing it through POSTMAN tool.
