Gliffy Images not showing?

Anyone else struggle with using attached custom images in a gliffy diagram? It just shows up as an invisible box.

The fact this is an issue is quite surprising. This functionality is core to the product.

What is the size and file type of the image you are attaching?

tried jpg and png, small file, just a couple hundred pixel square img

Is it less than 1 MB?
