Handling unexpected error on livesearch macro

Boy June 24, 2013

Hi Guys,

Have you experienced this kind of error message when using the livesearch macro? "An unexpected error has occured at the server side. Please contact Confluence administrator regarding this." please help if you found a solution to this.

Thanks!

Hi there,

You might want to check your Server Base URL https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Configuring+the+Server+Base+URL. Some Macro will break if the server base url is not configred properly.

If that doesn't help, you will need to check the stack trace in your atlassian.confluence.logs for more clue. I would suggest you to report this issue in https://support.atlassian.com/ . Atlassian Support engineer will help you investigate this issue.

Kind Regards,

First thing I would do is rebuild the index. You can do this in the admin panel by selecting "Context Indexes". Click Rebuild.

There's additional information here:

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the suggestion, I rebuild the index but to no avail. Do we have other ways to fix it?

Thanks!
