How can I configure macros to display attachments in the browser instead of downloading them?

Ada Kardos April 23, 2018 edited

I would like to configure a page in my Confluence server instance to display a list of attachments, primarily PDFs, using a macro to automatically list them.

When I use a macro such as Attachments List, the links automatically download the attachment, which is not the behavior I want. However when I manually create a link on the page, the document displays in the browser's "preview" mechanism, which is what I want.

How can I remove the automatic download "feature" so users can simply browse the attachments?

Hey @Ada Kardos,

You might want to refer to this post that discuss the same topic as well - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/How-to-default-to-quot-view-quot-and-not-download-for-file/qaq-p/593499

Cheers

Thanks, Lauretha! Unfortunately that thread refers to Cloud not Server.
