How can I copy backup files?

Flavio Beck

Hi,

I have confluence installed on Linux, and default backup files are located in "/var/atlassian/application-data/confluence/backups".

Since we have a disk crash risk, I would like to schedule a cron to copy all files to another disk.

If I try o reach this path..

# confluence/: Permission denied

Do I need to stop confluence to unlock this path and copy content?

tks.

No, you need to change the permissions of either the directory, or more sensibly (because if you get it wrong, you'll break confluence), the process running the cron job.
