How can I upload / view HTML5 animations in confluence

Roel Croonenberghs January 24, 2013

Hi,

Currently we are posting .swf animation (interactive) on our confluence. We just upload them as attachment to a page and use {multimedia:name=animation.swf } to display them. But we want to make it usable for apple owners and are switching to making these interactive animations in HTML5 in stead of .swf.

But generating the same animation in HTML5 in stead of .swf gives use in stead of 1 swf file a couple of directories with css, javascript, images and html files.

How can I upload these to confluence and display the animation on a page in confluence?

Greetings,
I am afraid that HTML5 animations are a bit more complex in this sense that a simple .swf file. You could use the combination of the HTML macro to include the HTML parts of the content and applying the required CSS on space level for example, but this is surely not a nice solution.
I believe the easiest way to achieve this would be to upload the contents you created in HTML5 to a separate directory on a webserver of yours, then use the HTML include macro to embed the content on the page.
Kind regards,
Peter Koczan
