How do I know which template was used to create a page?

Hi,

Is it possible to see what template was used to create a page?

I want to create a new page that's similar to one created by someone else, and I want to use the same template but I'm not sure what one they used and they aren't around for me to ask.

Page Information / History doesn't show this and I couldn't find anything online.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards

Mick

You don't.  It's not stored, because it's not really useful information.  A template is used as a starting point for a page, but once the initial creation is done, the template has no more effect on the page again.

You could add a bit of (hidden) text to the templates to record which one has been used.  The users could still remove it on the initial creation, but it's very unlikely that they'll actually care if it's hidden text and out of the way.

As I suspected - thanks for the reply!
