Hi,
We received a Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics report that our confluence svc account is providing unencrypted password in the network. Verified the settings as admin and found that SSL is not configured from the day confluence it was installed. My question:
1. Do we have any documentation to install the SSL in confluence server? Checked the configuration but there is no option to upload the SSL certificate.
2. I read the below document but doesn't provide me context on how the SSL can be installed or assigned?
Connecting to an LDAP Directory | Confluence Data Center and Server 8.1 | Atlassian Documentation
Looking forward on your response.
Regards,
Mhine
Hi @Philomine Nolasco and welcome to the Community!
The article you found is more about adding a user directory for the Confluence, rather than installing an SSL certificate.
However it is possible to install such a certificate. It can be issued by any of the authorities around the world and installed directly on the server. Also, if you are using a proxy server in front of the Confluence instance, you can add your certificate at the proxy server.
Please check the following documentation for more info:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/running-confluence-over-ssl-or-https-161203.html
Hope that helps!
