We've prioritized a list of Initiatives in Jira for our project, but due to issues with how Jira/Portfolio manages priorities the order we set is not maintained. To work around this I want to export the list of Initiatives from Jira to Excel, order them properly, then paste into Conlfuence creating a static table. So far so good. I'm able to export, and copy / paste into Confluence creating a table. The problem is that the Jira issue links do not convert to Jira issue macros. I want the issue macro so it shows the issue summary and the issue status. If I paste the individual issue links one at a time it would auto-convert the Jira issue link to the macro, but when you paste an entire table from Excel it leaves it as the display name / URL. Is there a way to paste a list of Jira issues into Confluence as a table so that the links convert to the Jira issue macro OR a way to force Confluence to execute the autoconvert after the fact?
Thanks!
Did you get a solution for this? I'd love to have the Jira links from Excel tables automatically converted when pasting that table in Confluence.
You don't need more tools. You need tools that actually work together – the way humans do. See how Loom + Confluence help teams collaborate with more context, more connection, and fewer calendar invites. 💪
