How to reset version at each bump in revision?

I wish to set up a workflow where at each release, the revision is incremented. To me, it is logical that the version number is reset at each increment of the revision. Anything else seems rather redundant. 

Is this possible? If not, it seems all version control will have to be performed manually.

Can you explain in a bit more details what you are trying to do?

Are you trying to create a separate version of a document, different from the Confluence versioning?

Are you using Comala? Server, Cloud, ...?
