We are using File list in confluence to store important status documents , MoMs etc. When we upload file, all watchers are notified of it. But in case i want to send a custom email regrading the upload, how do i do it?
So say, when i upload status of a task , i want to send an email which states what is the current status of task in one line and whether we are on track wrt meeting timelines or not.
This will help in sending across the status and if someone is busy he/she need not open the file to get that information.
Is there a way to do it? If yes, please let me know.
Hello Praveen,
Welcome to Atlassian Community! It's nice to meet you.
Would you be able to let me know what version of Confluence you're on?
In Confluence Server, you may be able to customize your outgoing email by modifying the source code, but something like this isn't possible in Confluence Cloud.
Regardless, your users will always get a notification of an attachment being uploaded provided they are watching the page/space.
Regards,
Shannon
