How to set standard work week in hours for Tempo Timesheet

Doug Kozar

We have the Tempo Timesheet add-on installed. Out-of-the-box, the default work weeks is 40 hours. Our standard work week is 37.5 hours.

How do I configure Tempo with a work week other than 40 hours?

P.S. Sorry, but I think this belongs in the JIRA community. I did not know there was a difference. Still new and learning JIRA/Confluence.

Hi Doug,

Even if Tempo is an App, you definitely can ask your questions here :)

As per answering your question, you have an admin page called "Workload Schemes" which is a list of all available "calendar layouts", it has to be combined with Holiday Schemes (days off basically) and it's also extremely linked to Jira's timetracking schedule as well. Once you design your workload schemes, you can apply them Team by Team in Tempo, meaning that different teams can have different agendas.

More details here: https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/spaces/TEAMS/pages/168984580/Working+Days

Hope this helps!

Cheers

Thank you @miikhy. How do I create a workload scheme? I am not clear on that from your response and the link you sent me does not clearly state how to create a workload scheme. At the moment, all we have is "Tempo Default Workload Scheme" which, even by itself, would be great to be able to alter. I just do not know how to do that or where it is located. Thank you for your patience and assistance as I learn Tempo.

Oh, nevermind. Right after I posted my response I snooped around and found what I needed. It is simple.

Navigate to Tempo > Administration > (Add-ons tab) TEMPO > Workload Schemes > click Edit on right side

Glad it helped!

Whenever you're looking for an admin feature, I'd recommend the "gg" trick: simply press "g" twice and an input box will pop up, you can start typing and admin pages will show up! In that case, typing Workload would have helped!

Good luck with Tempo.

Have a great day!
