How to use existing confluence template while creating pages via Rest API call in Python

Hello Confluence Experts,

I'm trying create confluence pages using REST API calls in Python.

I need to use already existing confluence template while creating pages via Rest API call in Python.

Can anybody guide me how I can use templates in REST API post calls and pass my own values in the fields of the template??

It seems this isn't a current feature with Confluence: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-11393
