Is it possible to use Excel to build out an entire Space and space hierarchy?

Carl Dotson November 9, 2018

Can you build out the entire space heirarchy in an Excel spreadsheet and then import that spreadsheet or use that spreadsheet data to build out a Confluence Space?

Not that I am aware of, but you could do something similar with importing a Word document. Basically create you hierarchy of pages, then depending on where you want to break pages, select that level of heading to split on import. For example, you could split at H3s, and then H1s would define the grandparent, and H2s would be the parents. You could also prepopulate pages as any H4s would appear as H1s on that page (of course, and other content would be transferred as well).
