Wiki pages often stay current for vey short time periods and are left to intermingle with current and important pages. This is not unusual in corporations today and is a current problem being addressed across all industries.
So... has Atlassian produced a Content Management answer yet and if so, is the solution backward compatible? In my case, my company has thousands of user. We use the 2015 version 5.10.8.
Note: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-36268 was opened in January 2015 and resolved with no action in February 2016 and no plans to address the problem at that time.
Since you are using confluence server, you could create a user macro for this purpose.
On this page, a user shares his user macro. I tried it out and it worked for me.
Let me know if you need help.
Regards,
Dominic
"Archiving Plugin" is a macro on the market place - I cannot buy it for my 8,200 user instance of Confluence. I need to build one myself for our small team of <30
Simon Tan is there any movement on a doc aging solution? The problem of tracking age dates to request updates or archiving is not going away and only getting worse leaving piles and piles of unwanted page waste and clutter.

Here is the correct link to the own build user macro, for free.
Hope this helps.
