Java Code cache Memory - not enough free space

Claus Schlotz November 20, 2019

Your JVM doesn't have enough free space allocated to code caching. This could be causing performance issues

Parameter were set in /confluence/bin/setenv.sh - Confluence was restarted, but no effect. Error message is still there

CATALINA_OPTS="-XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=696m -XX:+UseCodeCacheFlushing ${CATALINA_OPTS}"

Confluence 6.6.1

Hi,

Yes, it also happens in our Productive JIRA.  No errors in logs, setenv.sh file properly configured with 512Mb, used value around 300Mb.. and the error message appears anyway :(

In the test environment, no problem at all.

@Claus, have you checked it? https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/full-codecache-causes-jira-server-to-crash-or-perform-slowly-314447083.html

It does not help in this case, but maybe it helps you to identify the error in logs.

In my case, version is JIRA Server 7.13.2
