Labels in Page History

Page History provides 5 fields (Version, Published, Changed By, Comment, Actions). I noticed that one can add labels to a page version at any time, but apparently the search is limited to the current version (see Question). 
By adding a Labels field and potentially a Search Label functionality to the Page History one would be able to organise the history and potentially search for specific labels in the selected page.

I am looking for something similar.  I need a way to label a document for a specific phase of a project that may be referenced through Page History.  Then once that phase is complete I want to remove the label/tag.  This way it is easy to see differentiate...
