Hello,
We have an internal install of confluence at our organization and frequently use large shared network folders.
I tried to share a link to a network folder file://\\share\folder\subfolder\document.doc but it puts http:// infront of it.
What is the best way to share a network folder link?
Thanks,
V

Confluence: How to place a link to a file on a server share in a confluence page?
Hi Victor,
The "Infinidex" plugin which we've developed for searching and linking files on network shares within Confluence helps with exactly this (and automatically works around some of the browser quirks wrt linking to files).
Check it out on: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/dk.translucent.atlassian.confluence.infinidex
Best,
Thomas (Translucent - developers of Infinidex)

Hello Victor,
It seems to be related to the browser, just as discussed on this thread: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/21205
Can you have a look there and see whether that's indeed the problem you're facing?
I hope it helps.
Eduardo
