Linking tasks to milestones but not driving the logic

We have a list of programme milestones that need to be delivered on certain dates. There is a requirement to deliver them on agreed dates but also have linked activities into them providing a description of what activities will support the milestone. Within Jira you can outline the relationship which will drive the milestone date to the right or left depending on the delivery of that milestone. However, I want to show the relationship between task and milestone but not drive the date.

What is the best way of showing this relationship and managing the milestones.

Thank you.

Hi @Alasdair McKie

Thank you @Fabian Lim for mentioning BigPicture/BigGantt
Indeed in both plugins, you can link selected tasks with a milestone to have a full view of all activities supporting a given milestone. To prevent tasks from affecting the milestone date, you can simply disable the ASAP mode.

However,  if the situation demands scheduling the work, you can at any time re-enable ASAP mode at any time, which will activate the scheduling mechanism.
