Links broken after copying pages and deleting old ones

I wanted to take ownership of pages from another user and followed this advice on this page

  1. Rename the page you want to change the owner of, publish.
  2. Copy that page
  3. Rename the copy to match the original name, publish.
  4. Delete the old page.

I didn't quite do this, I copied the pages to my own personal space.  The original owner renamed (copied) their pages in the same space so they would have a new name, then I deleted the originals and then copied the pages back to their original location from my own space.  I know this is a little confusing, but I think it's pretty much the same logic as 1-4 above.  All the image links and draw.io links now give me a 404 error.  I am getting very little help locally.  Are all the old images gone?  Is there any way they can be recovered?  The draw.io stuff is 100+ hours of work.

I would delete this but I don't see that option.  It turns out I can still restore the old pages from the trash so I haven't lost my work... whew!
