I am trying fo find a solution for a use case.
We write several runbooks for our ops-employees in confluence. We have a template but now there is a new feature request (and also a 3rd party software) for one specific use case.
Our runbooks have always 3 levels:
- action name
- Step within the action
- Control to check if the step was succesfull
Until now, our technical editors copied and pasted the 3 lines from the template and created the new actions and documented them.
Because "it is tooooo" manual work to copy&paste, the feature request is to have a "add one more action" button so that every time the option is triggered a new hierarchy is created to be fullfilled.
Why is this needed?
- One technical editor found a software doing that and want to have it also for confluence.
- you can change the template once and it is automatically there for all new documentes (if you would like to change from 3 levels to 2 or to 4 for example)
- technical editors should concentrate on writting and not copying&pasting some code/text from a template.
Any ideas if there is a plugin available or if it can be solved with a macro?
best regards,
Rafael
