Mail archive not automatically polling

At some point before or after upgrading to Confluence 4.2.2, a Mail Archive used in a space stopped automatically updating. Administrators can still click Fetch new mail to update manually.

The Confluence Mail Archiving Plugin and all its 17 modules are enabled!

Any ideas?

Hey there,

Although the admin can still manually fetched the email but do you happen to see this error message:

Error retrieving message: [Ljava.lang.Object; cannot be cast to com.atlassian.confluence.content.CustomContentEntityObject

I wonder if this issue is somehow related to this bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-26036. What's the mail server in used?

Do you encounter any other mail functionality issue besides this? Also, is there anything thrown in the mail server logs?
