Hi!
I restore an on-premise Confluence site from my backup. The process finished with no errors, but we found that all the attachments are missing on every page.
The attachments are in the backup.zip next to the entities.xml and reviewing this file, I can see the files missing.
I have already tried copy+paste the full attachments folder from the backup to the confluence-home folder, but it didn't work. I also read this page (Retrieving File Attachments from a Backup | Confluence Data Center and Server 7.14 | Atlassian Documentation) but it didn't work and is not possible to fix the files one by one because the backup is huge.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Is your confluence site really large? XML restores for large sites can have issues. Do you still have access to the old confluence site? If so I would recommend doing a restore this way https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/restoring-data-from-other-backups-148627.html
If you do not have access to the old instance anymore you should look and see if the attachments directory was even created and if it exists prior to you copying something into the home directory. If it does you should take a look at this https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-resolve-missing-attachments-in-confluence-201761.html
Hi! Thanks for your answer.
No, we don't have access to the old site. We only have the backup.
Yes, the attachments directory was created during the site installation, but the attachments in the backup.zip weren't copied inside.
I'll try with the second link and let you know if it worked.
Thanks!

Hi!
Finally, after 12 hours, the process finished processing but I got this output:
Recovering File # 1079 of 22624The /var/atlassian/application-data/confluence/attachments/ver003/134/65/42565634/36/224/23724036/24871289/10 already exists, can't copy /var/atlassian/applic
How is it possible that this recovery process says that the file already exists and in confluence I see that all files are missing?
Thanks!
