Moving to an older version of Confluence

I need to migrate several spaces and tables from a Confluence 6.2 installation to a Confluence 5.10 installation. From the official documentation there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for a workaround?

Confluence doesn't do downgrades, so this can be difficult.  6.2 data is not compatible with 5.x data in general, so this is unlikely to work without editing the xml more, but you might be able to export a space to xml, edit it to change the reported version and import it on a lower version.  Even if it works without further edits (which you may be able to identify by reading the logs during import), it is likely that you will have broken pages in the imported spaces.
