Hello,
Im trying to create nested Content with the Expand Macro. To do that i create an Expand Macro with title and Content in another Expand Macro (Also with title). Im doing this with REST by using the Wiki-Markup format.
Whenever I insert the Mark-up it wont get nested cause of the "closing" Expands. They are building their own Macro. Anyone know has an idea if there is something like a workaround?
{Expand: Stage One}
Content of Stage One.
{Expand: Stage Two}
Content of Stage Two.
{Expand}
{Expand}
Is this expected behaviour or a bug?
Edit: Found the Report on Jira.. Still looking for a workaround.
Hi Katja,
yes, this is the behaviour with wiki markup. You can't nest two macros with the same name since there is no opening and ending tag.
This blog post describes a workaround with a custom expand macro for every sub-expand:
https://ffeathers.wordpress.com/2011/08/20/nested-expand-macros-in-confluence-wiki/
It works, since every stage has its own macro. I didn't try that, but it is definitely worth a try, if you need it.
When I attempt to add the expand macro to a row in a Confluence table, it drops it to the bottom of the table, outside the borders. This is new as of recent Confluence updates.
