Non-aggregate notification emails

william March 14, 2018

Is thee a way to configure Confluence Server so it does not send an aggregate notification email with a rollup of changes? For example if 5 people modify a page in a minute I want to see 5 separate notification emails for each user watching that content. I am not talking about daily digests as we already have those disabled.

Hi William,

You can change the interval before the changes are batched into one email:

Email Notifications

Batching window: System Administrators can change the batching window for changes and comments on the same page or blog post in the Send batched notifications scheduled job. Increase the time for fewer emails or reduce the time if more immediate notifications are essential in your site.

I look forward to hearing whether that works for your scenario,

Ann

Unfortunately we can't allow any possibility of batching at all.

The Send Batched Notifications Scheduled Job cannot be disabled altogether but it could be set to run every second so that in order to be batched there would have to be multiple edits in a second.

We have a feature request open to make email notifications more configurable. You may add a comment or vote for it to communicate directly with the development team and emphasize your specific use case: Make Email Notices Configurable
