We recently upgraded to Confluence 7.0.1 (Server) and the Office Connector plugin is no longer working.
I have checked the plug-in settings and everything is enabled, but it still keeps prompting to edit with (and then the companion app download) instead of edit in excel for example.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!
Hello John,
Thank you for contacting us about this. In Confluence 6.11, we removed the Edit in Office functionality and replaced it with the Atlassian Companion App. However, many organizations discovered that they are not able to use the Companion app with their current policies.
Therefore, we offer the ability to re-enable Edit in Office functionality for some versions of Confluence.
Have a look below for the full compatibility matrix:
6.13 (Enterprise release versions from 6.13.6) |
Compatible
6.14.x |
Not compatible
6.15 (versions from 6.15.6) |
Compatible
7.0.x |
Not compatible
7.1.x and later |
Compatible
Therefore, for you to be able to enable the Edit in Office feature, you need to upgrade to version 7.1 or later.
Could you give that a try and let me know how that goes?
Regards,
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
Thanks for your response, that's unfortunate. I guess we will need to upgrade then!
