Could you advise the best way to do the following with plugins:
We would like to be able to query an external sql db (Oracle for example) and report the results on a Confluence page. We would also like to give users a page (with a form of some sort) where they can submit and write data to the db.
It looks like a recommendation is using two plugins together: Bob Swifts' SQL PRO and Run Self-Service Reports for Confluence.
This is a recommendation from 2014 and we are wondering if this is still relevant or if there are other plugins available now?
We are using self hosted server and are updating from 5.10 to the newest version in 2-3 months.
Hi Soley,
The combination is the one I'ver heard most often as well. We are just using the SQL Pro Plugin ourselves as it's sufficient for what we needed & have good experience with it.
In a previous Job I was also using this in combination with SQL Pro : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/net.customware.confluence.plugin.reporting/server/overview
A bit of a learning but allowed us to build some comprehensive reports.
Cheers,
Christian
