Problem with plugin repository and Confluence 3.2.1_01

when using the plugin repository, the following error message is displayed:

Status code 500 returned while downloading: http://confluence.atlassian.com/plugin-repository/proxy.action?profile=confluence&decorator=none&buildNumber=1814&repoClientVer=2.1.7&os=amd64&javaVer=1.6.0_27&javaVendor=Sun+Microsystems+Inc.

This happens with several Confluence 3.2.1_01 instances, so it is a problem on the Atlassian side. Confluence 4.0 does not seem to be affected.
