I'm trying to add a Balsamiq mockup to a template, is that possible?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Elias,

Our app Page Tree Creator could be a solution for you. It takes a normal Confluence page as a template. So your template can host all kind of macros.

Hi @elias melgarejo

Sorry for the late reply but we just came across your question and thought we would share a few hints.

You can't upload an image or another file into a template directly, as detailed here, but there are a couple workarounds that may help, depending on your workflow:

  • If you need a static Balsamiq Wireframe that doesn’t need to be edited: you could create the wireframe to a page on your site. Then in your template, insert the macro “include page” and choose the page with the Balsamiq macro(s) you want to insert.
    • You can then edit it, but you are editing a master wireframe and all pages created from the template are linked to it.
  • If instead, you need a template wireframe that will be edited/modified every time you create a new page: you could use the Copy page feature.
    • Have a "template" page inside a space (maybe a dedicated space)
    • Copy/move it to whatever space when you need to start from this template

Hope this helps! Please let us know if you need anything else via support@balsamiq.com.

Best,
