Apply another template to a page on field update

François-Xavier Collet March 25, 2019
On this page it's explained how to apply different templates to a page depending on a field value.
https://wiki.vertuna.com/plugins/servlet/mobile?contentId=7602504#content/view/7602504
Would it be possible to update an existing page content when the field change?
It is possible to delete and recreate the page, but I would like to avoid deleting the existing page.
Thanks
Xavier

Unfortunately, I believe the answer is no.  This not a limitation of Confiforms, but with templates -- a template in Confluence is applied only _at the time the page is created_.  There is no way to retroactively apply a template to an existing page.

Now there is the Scaffolding Plug-in which allows for dynamic templates.  But I am guessing that Confiforms would not provide a way of invoking those.

You can have dynamic templates with the help of the ConfiTemplates

Works well with ConfiForms, as well as with page properties

Alternatively, creating a user macro and using this macro on the pages you create with ConfiForms will allow you to have the "dynamics"... as by changing the user macro you will be able to change all the pages having this user macro
