×I have one problem with the Atlassian Companion which is stopping me from using "Companion" in our Confluence environment. This is problem I got due to the "new" EU law(GDPR). When edited a file a copy of the file is saved on the PC before uploading to Confluence. I know you can remove the file manually but it becomes a problem since not everyone is aware of the file left on the PC. Since "Companion" knows where the file is stored it should be possible to have it removed by "Companion". A configurable feature maybe?
Hi @Bjorn Ragnarsson , on application startup Companion will clear the temporary ".atlassian-companion" directory. We want to allow users to opportunity to recover their files for cases such as the upload failing, or if they accidentally close the desktop application that is editing the file. Therefore in most cases, the temporary files persisting is a benefit.
Although a valid feature request would be adding an option: "remove file from local storage after upload".
