Attachments not loading

Hello Atlassians,

we use v7.19.6 of the data center version of Confluence, and we're currently facing an annoying issue concerning attachments on sites. The behaviour is very weird, as attachments from some sites won't load as others, on newly created testing sites, do.
Attachments can be downloaded though and it's also possible to open them up in a new tab. Just the direct display function does not work, which is true for the majority of the linked files. (PDF files, as well as images and MS Office-documents.)

It's behaving similar to the issue described here: [CONFSERVER-29277] PDF files no longer open in browser, users are prompted to download. - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.

Security settings have been switched to 'insecure' for testing purposes, but to no avail.

Can anyone suggest practical hints to solve this problem, aside from the obligatory deletion of cache etc. ?

Linchpin-Events is the problem here, deactivating it prevents this issue from happening.

I´ve contacted the Seibert Media support regarding this (LTS 7.19.6/7.19.11)
