Best-practice for Multilanguage content ?

* Bitvoodoo Language plugin

* languagetags per article with childpages as language versions

Any other ideas or experiences to implement multi-language wikis ?

doesn't sound practicable.

-- links like Definition:en and Definition:de are ugly

-- the handling of different page titles in different languages is not solved

is somewhat better

-- it works only with small pieces of text.

-- the language macro may interfere with other amcros like the excerpt marco.

We use the Bitvoodoo Language plugin.

That means every page has different parts for the different languages, inserted within the specific {english}, {german} , etc. tags. The language chosen at settings determines which language automatically appears, both on the wiki page and in the PDF export.

Works well for us.

We are seeking some solution for this subject and the bitvoodoo add-on seems to be a viable way to solve it but its only licensed for the server version. What about the cloud customers? Has anyone found a solution like bitvoodoo for cloud customers?

i am also seeking for "best practice" to establish a multilingual wiki site.

So can someone provide me some links / urls, to get an approach / idea how to deal with that issue? I asked the sales department, but could not get any public wiki pages based on 2 languages or more.

and i am asking why this topic is not on the agenda of Atlassian??

We've had issues with Service Desk and Confluence Cloud support for multilanguage that can't be solved by any cloud add-on we could find. We have opened tickets about it linked below and would appreciate the support if you agree.

another solution for managing multiple languages in one single Confluence space would be our Scroll Translations addon, however it's also currently only available for Confluence Server.
