Can I hide a set of pages from the pagetree navigation?

We are converting our Webworks online help to Confluence wiki; when we convert and deploy the pages to Confluence, a number of css and other pages are generated. I am manually reconstructing the TOC as Webworks does a poor job of maintainting the TOC structure when it deploys the files to Confluence.

I want to hide some of the pages from the left pagetree navigation--how do I do that? If I create a page with "_inclusions", will it not show up in the left nagivation?

The problem is, many of these pages are linked from other pages in the book which appear in the TOC--so they cannot be moved to another space.

I just need to hide these pages "_inclusions" from the pagetree of the space.

Any suggestions?

Hallo chitp

To create a page at the root of the space (i.e. without a parent page) choose "Browse" > "Pages", then choose "Add".

Don't put them in the home page hierarchy. So, create a page that has no parent and then move them under that page.

hmm, it is there in the space, the page tree shows everywhere in the space. So how do I avoid that?

We are talking about the documentation theme page tree? On my instance, it only shows pages that are in the home page hierarchy. So if you create a page without a parent, then it doesn't show.

I am using refinedwiki theme, not the documentation theme.

If you edit the page, at the bottom you will see that there is page tree view , so just delete it and wont be displayed.

I don't understand where to see the pagetreview when editing the page. If I remove the page, these pages are included somewhere in other pages, it will display them as missing.
