Can I make Confluence essentially 'read-only'

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

We want to make Confluence essentially 'read-only', in that people are not able to update existing or add new entries.

Kicker is that we would like them to be able to still print / export info.

Just not sure how to set permissions for this - if can be done globally, great, but even if needs to be done individually, that is okay as well.

Hey Frank,

Yeah, you can absolutely set all of your spaces as read-only.

You can then select specific users to be able to update content, however all other users will be able to view, print or export all of the pages.
