Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×As pointed out in the documentation;
When a user edits a file, that file is also downloaded and saved to the Atlassian Companion folder on their computer. Files are cleared every time the Companion app restarts.
Follow our guide to accessing Confluence files edited with the Atlassian Companion app.
it would explain why files become missing. Is there any way to disable this feature? All of our users are reporting back that data is getting lost because files are no long available. Trying to "recover" files, only leads to empty directories.
Thanks,
Phil
Hi Phil,
We currently do not provide a configuration option to disable the clearing of temporary files on startup. However, we do have an open suggestion for this request and will consider implementing it in the future.
Please vote on the following ticket and watch it to receive updates from the development team: CONFSERVER-58425

Alex
