Confluence - Move content

Hello community, 

I have the requirement to move data from confluence server1 to confluence server2. 

server1: 

  OS:               Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.4.0-103-generic x86_64)
  Confluence:  6.7.2
  Add-On:       DrawIO, PlugIn version 6.5.7

server2: 

  OS:                Windows Server2008
  Confluence:   6.11.0
  Add-On:       DrawIO, PlugIn version (current)

Questions: 

• Best practice: 
  • Move whole data via backup? 
  • Move the several spaces?

Please tell me the way to do the suggested practice.

Hi Alexander Sailer,

Step 1 . Source server(server1) should be upgraded to v 6.11.0 to match the Target server(server2).
Step 2 . All the add ons should match the target server.
step 3 . You need to export space by space through XML approach from source to then import into target.
