Confluence REST API to get all spaces /rest/api/space is giving 500 internal server error

Deleted user June 15, 2020

Hi folks,

When i am trying to fetch the data regarding spaces through GET REST call , it is returning 500 internal server error.

This was not the case few days back. I was able to fetch the required information.

Can you please help in finding the root cause that why it is not returning the required result?

REST URL: /rest/api/space

Thanks,

Hi @[deleted]

You will have to check the log files on the Confluence server in order to find the root cause.

You can find the logs folder in the Confluence home folder: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-home-and-other-important-directories-590259707.html

Hope you will find the root cause.

Hi @[deleted]

It seems to me that you have Confluence Space that is deleted from database but might still be in cache for some reason.

Could you try to reboot Confluence and then call the REST endpoint again?

But also go through your Confluence Spaces and see if any errors are occurring in the UI.

Regards

Lasse
