Confluence Vanity / Customised URLS?

So a typical URL is of the form https://CompanyName.com/display/spaceKey/Name+of+the+Pagewith a typical tiny URL of https://CompanyName.com/x/fgh4j3r

I have a user request for vanity URLs - of the form https://CompanyName.com/PageName

The idea is to lose the /display and /spaceKey parts so that he can have an easy-to-remember URL for presentations, etc.

Is that possible?

I had similar problems with Confluence internally, so our developers created an add-on for our own use. It worked well for me.

One week ago we published it on Atlassian Marketplace, it’s called Redirects and Vanity URL.

Give it a try, maybe this will also solve your problem. ;)

Hi Jim,

You can use Apache (presentation server) with Rewrite mod.

It is bit tricky but does the job.
