Confluence mismatch build number with database

JiannHaur July 4, 2017

hi,

I have tried to upgrade Confluence from 5.7.5 to 6.1.4. After the upgrade, Confluence failed to start up. We attempted to rollback to our version, but I am afraid that I did had my application back up and not my database. I try to get it working again by deleting the additional unnecessary rows in CONFVERSION, but the database keeps returning these rows of data.

Confluence will not start up because the build number in the home directory [5791] is older than the Confluence build number [7111]

I have also tried to change the config.xml by changing the build number, but I keep receiving the following error

Confluence will not start up because the build number in the home directory [7111] is newer than the Confluence build number [5791]

I am wondering what I can do now to get Confluence working again.

greets

J.

After setting the build number to lower value the upgrade should be attempted again. This will trigger all upgrade tasks that are in between the Confluence version that the database is using and the version of the installation files that are being upgraded to, as well as upgrading the Database and the Home Directory.

Hope this helps.
