Confluence space -> HipChat room integration misfiring

We have set our Confluence spaces to send notifications to the corresponding HC room. For example, a page update in the HR space will send a notification to the HR room: <Page Name> - page updated by Jim Kennedy.

Today, however, the notification is posting the name of the page creator rather than the page updater. It happens across several rooms/spaces combinations.

Any ideas?

UPDATE: To add: HipChat 1.7.1, Confluence 5.2.3.
