Confluence update to unlicensed users

Michael Schiller January 29, 2021

Dear Team,

sorry if this questions have been asked and I'm more then happy if you just point that out to me as my search skills are lacking success today

My question would be, we are setting up Confluence to allow non licensed customers of ours to get newest updates of documents via Confluence. Is there a way to send an "watcher" or automatic E-mail to all customers after a new page have been created or an old page have been edited?

Thanks for your help

best regards

Michael

No.  Unlicenced users have very limited access, via their Jira account, they don't really exist in Confluence, so there's no way to tag them for watching or other things.  Also, remember that they are there for access to help desk type docs, which are not generally things people would be interested in subscribing to

Does the "Watching > Manage Watchers" function not work for doing this?
