We are having trouble getting either of the Content By Label or Content Report Table to work at all on labels. Both just say they can't find anything. I have tried rebuilding the indexes both from within Confluence and from scratch by deleting the existing one as described in the documentation and it didn't seem to help at all. Strangely, a Label List shows all the labels just fine. Is there something we are missing or not understanding here? We've tried all kinds of things and it just never seems to work.
This is still an issue. Also there should be an option to list the labels with + or - sign as well.
Could Confluence open a JIRA issue for this enhancement?
Hi, I'm also facing this problem.. Any news Atlassian? Thanks!

I was having trouble with this and found a fix on my end. I made sure that the label included in the macro is also in the document you are trying to show in the list. Second I added the key of the space to the macro. After this, I now see the documents in the order of the list.

I still can't get this to work, using the latest Cloud instance. And do mean by "added the key of the space to the macro"?
Thanks

Hi,
Has this issue been resolved? I am still facing this problem. The content report table macro was showing proper results until few days ago and I don't know what changed! It returns empty now. :(
Please post the solution for this.
Thanks.

This was still an issue with me today. It does seem to be an indexing issue as suggested by others earlier. It's easier to solve than by rebuilding the entire index though.
For me it worked to delete and re-add the label in question in one of my pages. tada, shortly after (took a minute or two) the content report filled itself.

Doesn't seem right to require an index rebuild every time a user adds a macro to a page.....

It's ridiculous, but it's better than no solution at all, I guess.

had the same issue on confluence 5.8, all i had to do to fix it was go to
Settings -> Under ADMINISTRATION -> Content Indexing
and rebuild index, and all is happy

An update on this. We had this problem recently in v5.7
Rebuilding the index fixed the problem of not finding labelled pages. But it did not retroactively correct the content-by-label tables that already existed.
The ones that were broken remained broken. I had to delete and recreate the tables. The new content-by-label tables (using the same labels that couldn't be found previously) then worked correctly. I did not have to delete and re-create the labels themselves, just the content-by-label tables.

Atlassian Support gave me this link and that solved this problem in my side:

Same problem on mine. Some notes show, but nothing new shows. Tried Content Report Table and Content by Label, both have the problem. Even tried adding a different label other than meeting-notes and just reporting on it, but it is not found.

Same problem here
It works well on the hosted solution, but it doesn't work in the local installed version
Rather irritating ...
Any ideas from Atlassian?

Hi - I have a similar problem - has anyone found a solution? Some meeting notes pages appear in the Content Report Table, some don't. I can verify that the non-appearing meeting notes pages exist and have correct label and space.

It's not working for us either. We are trying to test the new Meeting Notes feature and the table isn't populating.

The same situation occurs for us too.
Content Report Table shows contents for a space and does not show for another space.
Is there any opened bug or a solution for this problem?

Hi Paul,
When you say 'they say they can't find anything', what does the developer console say? Is there an error or confluence just says nope, I have no matching labels? I just tested it locally in a 5.1.4 instance and it works as expected. What version are you running? Anything reported to the confluence logs? I would say try updating all add-ons if there are updates available.

I didn't notice anything in the logs. The Content By Label macros simple shows "No content found for label(s) XXX". Yet a Labels List on the same page shows all the labels.
We're pretty new to Confluence, so maybe we are just missing something simple?

Interestingly, other meeting notes in a different space have started to show up in the list. I still can't get the ones in the same space to be listed though (by filtering etc).
This seems like a bug perhaps?
