We copied a page to a new location. The child links stil point to the old location. Is there a way to Copy the page and child location links/pages under the new page tree? I See a reorder option but that is only for Move? In the past Move has failed for us. Is there a way to Copy all Pages/child pages/links in new location (URL LOCATIONS) Version 4.3.3
I should say any FREE way to copy child pages or ADD them to new location. Free scripting or free plugin?
Hi Ken,
there are some similiar questions here and elsewhere (the first one you already checked):
I don't think there is much more than the ideas mentioned there.
Ken,
When you put in links to your pages, do you use "hard" URLs (like a web link taken from the browser address bar) or are you using links put in by using the "[" link shortcut or the "Search" and/or "Recently Viewed" from the link menu?
I have seen this where people used a hard link and it broke every time. The relative links that are based on the page ID typically don't break or exhibit that behavior.
Anecdotally, it took rather a long time to stomp out the habit of using hard links to other Confluence pages but the festivities and broken links by a content refactor broke them of practice when I put it back on the authors to fix their pages and explained how they wouldn't have had to fix them the other way.

Yes some pages have hard links created by users. I still need a free way to copy child pages over

One more issue. Is there a rename option for pages and child pages. All we ant to do is change the location of the Global space(URL) from under one product to another
