Hi there,
Due to server issues we had to move our Confluence system to a new server. We took the opportunity to also upgrade our system to 6.15.
Everything worked perfectly fine expect that the "Create" button (new page) disappeared in all spaces. As we use blueprint that's crucial to us.
After reading several threads I'm pretty sure that we're facing a license issue. After installing it did not accept our old license so we bought a new one.
Any idea how to solve this issue?
Many thanks in advance and best regards
Alex
It seems that your license ins't valid.
You can generate a trial license using https://my.atlassian.com/ to check if the problem persist or not.

Hi Jack and thank you. I already tried a trial license, but that didn‘t solve the problem.

Did you follow these steps to update your license after purchasing a new one? https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/managing-your-confluence-license-313467774.html

I did, yes. I also tried the „safe mode“ and checked the user and group right for all spaces without any result.
However if I use the keyboard shortcut „c“ I‘m able to create a subpage. So shouldn‘t be a permission issue?

Have you cleared your browser cache to make sure that is not the issue?

Yes, I did. I also tried different machines/computers in our office.

Are you running a reverse proxy? If so can you validate all of your proxy settings are correct. Also you can test on the server an not go through the proxy to see if it is a proxy issue.

If your license is valid, you do not have a proxy and it is not a cache issue then you should create a support ticket with atlassian. https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ they will be able to review logs you submit to them.

Brant, many thanks for all your help! I'm not exactly sure why, but I have the button back!
We used OpenID authentication (Google) on our old server using the add-on "OpenID Authentication for Confluence". After moving confluence to the new server I did not use reinstall the add-on but used the regular login. Now I just re-installed the add-on and immediately the button is back (also if I use the regular login as before).
I cannot explain what happend, but I'm glad that we can work again. Maybe anybody else faces the same problem.
Again: Thanks for your support and best regards
Alex

Sounds like your user directories were not setup correctly so proper permissions were not applying to the users account. Glad you got it working.
