So I'm trying to create a template button that creates a page from a template in a subpage from the space. So not in the primary space, but lower in the hierarchy.
Is this possible?
So far I've tried putting the Spacekey in the space field, but this doesn't work
Hi Björn,
Maybe our Page Tree Creator (PTC) could solve your requirement. It has a Button Macro to create a page based on a PTC Template. You can find it on the Marketplace.

Stephan (CEO of EPS Software Engineering AG, the vendor of the Page Tree Creator)
Hi Björn,
When you create a page using the Create from Template macro, it will create that new Page as a Child of the one with the macro.
If you need to create the page in a particular location, you'll need to click on the Location Icon in the breadcrumbs to manually set the spot.
There is a Feature Request to bring in functionality to set Location within the Macro; if this is something you'd like to see added, I would ask that you include any feedback you may have for our Developers on the following Feature Request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-29581
If you have any other questions about this, please let me know.
Regards,
Shawn

Hi Björn,
I'm afraid that it is not currently possible to specify a specific page to create new pages when using the Create from Template Macro. If you specify another Space in the Macro, that new page will be created as a Child of the Space's Home.
If a page created using the Create from Template macro needs to be placed in a particular location, it'll need to be manually moved.
We are tracking feedback and interest in bringing an option to the Macro to provide Users the ability to specify a Parent Page: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-29581
If this is something you'd like to see included, I would ask that you include any feedback you may have on the Feature Request as it'll help to influence the decisions our Developers and Product Manager make on which features to implement.
Regards,
Shawn
