Data Center Quote Help

Hello,
I want to subscribe to a Data center license from Confluence ($ 30,000) and Jira ($ 30,000), for a total of $ 60,000

does this apply to one instance of each?
or can I put 2 instances of Confluence and 2 instances of Jira in order to manage the high availability?

Bonjour @Nicolas MATELOT ,

les licences Data Center donnent accès à une instance (que ce soit pour Jira ou Confluence), et cette instance peut être ensuite constituée de plusieurs "nodes" qui vous permettent d'avoir une solution active/active au niveau infra.

Effectivement le vocabulaire n'est pas forcément très clair dans la doc Atlassian, puisqu'ici une instance équivaut à un ensemble de nodes.

De façon pratique, si vous achetez une licence Data Center pour Jira et pour Confluence, vous pouvez ensuite mettre en place une infra Jira avec 1, 2, 3 ... ou x nodes, et de même pour Confluence. Il n'y a aucune limitation sur le nombre de nodes que vous installez pour assurer la haute dispo.

I agree that the best place to discuss you question is this licensing and support confirm what you are able to use. My understanding is that you would have a single instance of Jira and a single instance of Confluence but they would be clustered with multiple servers. So if your Confluence instance is not as large as Jira you could have 2 servers in the cluster to support a single instance of Confluence. If you Jira instance is really large you could have 3 servers in the cluster to support your single instance of Jira. Hope this helps.
